Another Praying Mantis Technique. Watch the footwork and the hand movements in the video. End position: Lean back slightly and look straight forward. The stance is very low. The mantis scissors point straight forward and the elbows are bend around 90°.
Left hand: Over head height
Right hand: Close to the right shoulder
This video shows how to do a pudao back slice ( in chinese: hou hong dao ).
Slice the blade horizontally from the left to the right and stop with the stick
parallel to the extended right arm and the left arm under the right shoulder
( see video ). Keep the stick and the blade as horizontal as possible.
