Back Leg Shot - Wushu Rope Dart

This video shows how to do a wushu rope dart back leg shot. First shoot the dart to the right and pull it back, so that the rope passes behind your back. Catch the rope with your left hand and then swing it under your left leg. Catch the rope with your left hand and then lift your right leg. Shoot the dart to the right side and open both hands when the dart flies out of your leg.

Back Pass - Wushu Rope Dart

This video shows how to do a back pass with a wushu rope dart. The back pass ( in chinese: shen hou bian, lit: behind the back rope / whip ) is a basic rope dart drill where you shoot the dart straight back and pull it forward behind the back. To do so you have to raise your right hand over head, so that the rope doesn't wind around your trunk. It's not really difficult, just watch the video. Before you learn this skill, learn the straight rope dart shot.

Basic Leg Shot - Wushu Rope Dart

This video shows a basic leg shot with a rope dart. Swing the dart forward down and under your right leg. Catch the rope with your right hand when the dart swings up on the other side of the leg and then grasp the rope with your left hand ( between thigh and right hand ). Keep swinging your rope dart and turn 180 degrees to the left. Then swing the dart under your right leg and shoot it to the left. When the dart flies forward from below your leg, release open the left hand.

Double Elbow Back Shot - Wushu Rope Dart

This video shows how to do a double elbow back shot with a wushu rope dart. First shoot the rope dart to the right and when the dart swings back, let it pass behind your back. When it swings up at the other side, put your left elbow under the rope. Then let the dart swing back to the right side, put your right elbow under the rope, twine it twice around your elbow and do an elbow back shot. ( see elbow shot video )
