Here a short wushu horse stance instructions. ( in chinese: ma bu ) Stand with your feet about 3 ft apart and keep your feet parallel. Keep your upper body pretty upright and look straight forward. Now put your fists on zour waist or extend your hands in front of zour chest. The thighs should be parallel to the floor ( in modern wushu hand and weapon styles ). This video shows a wushu rest stance ( xie bu ). Instead of moving your arms you like shown in the video, you can also keep your fists on the waist. When you do a rest stance in modern wushu, both knees are off the ground. Performed by Song Long Yong from the Song Jiang Wushu School. Coach: Wang Guang Ming.
