Axilla Whip - Wushu Shuangbian

This video shows how to do an axilla whip circle ( in chinese: ye xia bian ). This technique is very similar to the disparate double whip chain circle. The difference is that the right whip is swung from the axilla and not from the hand. Just start with a disparate double whip chain circle and catch the right chain under your shoulder ( between arm and trunk ). Keep swinging both whips and hop forward on your left leg. This is not a very popular double whip chain skill, but it's funny and not very hard to learn. Before you try this, you should just learn the disparate double whip circle.

Disparate Double Whip Circles - Wushu Shuangbian

Disparate double whip circles ( shuang fan bian ) are very useful for beginners. You can do them before and after most skills to make intersections easier. You can do them forwards or backwards, depending on the skill that follows. If you want to do big double whip back swings for example, start with disparate double whip back circles. If you are preparing for the big front swing, start from disparate front circles. This way it's easier to keep the chains under control. Just make sure you swing your whip chains in parallel, vertical layers and keep the circles 180 degrees disparate. This video only shows disparate back circles.
