This video shows how to do cartwheel without hands twist ( in chinese: Ce Kong Fan - Zhuan ti ). This skill is also called aerial twist and hypertwist. There are 2 ways of learning this skill.

1) Do a butterfly Twist without the butterfly runup and swing the right leg higher than to horizontal level ( easier way )

2) Learn the front whel and then twist ( much harder, but looks much better ).

I recommend you learn the b-twist variation first and then work on your front whip and straighten the technique. At the beginning make sure you have a soft landing area ( a sand pit, a gymnastics pit with foam cubes or jump into water ).

Performed by Lu Peng Cheng from the Song Jiang Wushu School.

In this video you will see some Ce Kong Fan ( cartwheel without hands ) variations. On the first view all of them look the same, but if you look closer you will see that all are slightly different. Some people for example like to bounce from the ball of the foot, while others roll over the heel. Another difference you can see is the arm-swing. For detailed instruction on how to do this jump, click the FM button and check the animated tutorial. ( wushu section )

This wushu warmup exercise is called "Chuan Zhang" and is done before or after the sweeps. "Spear palm" is not an exact interpretation. Zhang means palm, but chuan actually means to pass through or bore into something. I also know some people who call this "spear hand drop stance form". However, the chuan zhang can also be used as a pubu ( flat or drop stance ) stretch. Do 2 carpet lengths and then go to the next exercise ( for example the front sweep ). Performed by: Lu Peng Cheng.
