In this lesson you will learn how to do a sanda back hand hook punch ( in chinese: Hou Bai ) The back hand hook punch is a horizontal circuar punch. ( hook coming from the outside ). Back hand punches are stronger than front hand punches, but unfortunately your opponent will see the punch coming earlier. Make sure the front hand stays close to your chin when you do a hou bai ( back hand hook punch ). Use your hips and your legs to put more power into the punch. Timing is very important. Work on your huabu ( walking steps ) and learn to step foward as you punch. Work with a training partner ( punching pads ).
