Learn how to do a sanda roundhouse kick. In chinese: Bian Tui. Start from your fightng stance and keep your fists up. Then lift your knee in front of your chest. The higher you lift your knee, the higher you will be able to kick. However, sanda is not about high kicks, it's about powerful and fast kicks. Then twist on the ball of the foot, ( standing leg ) extend your leg and kick in a circular motion. Don't lif the heel of the standing leg too much from the floor ( instable ). Just a little! Extend your ankle when you kick your opponent and kick him with the lower part of the shin or the ankle. Not with the toes or the upper part of your shin. Make sure you keep your fists up as you kick. Finally bend your leg again and bring your foot straight back to the position where you had your knee in front of your chest. If you get used to letting the leg fall after the kick, it will easy for your opponents to grab your leg. Back leg roundhouse kicks are a bit stronger but because the way to the opponent is further, back leg roundhouse kicks can be seen earlier ( which makes counter attacks easier ).
