This wushu warmup exercise is called "Chuan Zhang" and is done before or after the sweeps. "Spear palm" is not an exact interpretation. Zhang means palm, but chuan actually means to pass through or bore into something. I also know some people who call this "spear hand drop stance form". However, the chuan zhang can also be used as a pubu ( flat or drop stance ) stretch. Do 2 carpet lengths and then go to the next exercise ( for example the front sweep ). Performed by: Lu Peng Cheng.
